Summer Edition
Did you miss us? It’s time for a summer edition of Itensify Insights! Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy as always, and this time we’d like to highlight something you might not expect from us. Did you know we also offer a solar cleaning robot? Our SCP keeps solar panels clean automatically, helping maintain maximum performance without manual effort. With dust and dirt reducing efficiency over time, it is a smart and reliable way to get the most out of your solar installation.
At the same time, summer is also a moment to recharge. Please note that Itensify is closed due to the summer holidays during weeks 30, 31 and 32, from July 18th to August 8th.
We wish you a great summer and look forward to connecting with you after the holiday break.
Warm regards, Team Itensify
Cleaning Solar Panels is not an option. It’s a necessity.
Robots
You might not know this yet, but we also have a solar cleaning robot. It removes dust and dirt automatically, helping prevent efficiency losses and keeping your solar installation performing at its best. A small addition that makes a big difference in energy yield.
“Cleaning solar panels is not an option. It’s a necessity.”
Key advantages at a glance
Why?
The Impact of Soiling on PV Systems
“On a global scale, the soiling of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems from dust and snow, and subsequent loss of energy yield, is the single most influential factor impacting system yield after irradiance.” [Kalimeris et al., 2023 (arXiv)]

Causes of Soiling
Dust from agriculture and industry, as well as traffic and bird droppings, creates stubborn contamination. Humidity worsens the effect, cementing dirt to the panel surface [IEA-PVPS, 2022]. Without cleaning, performance declines much faster.

Efficiency Loss
Research by TNO shows that solar panels lose 4.5% to 7% efficiency per year due to soiling [TNO, 2003].
Within just five years, this can add up to a 30% reduction in yield. Regular cleaning prevents these losses and keeps your system profitable.
