Leakage Testing
About
Leak testing ensures the safety and performance of components, especially for products that contain hazardous liquids or gases.
Whether you’re working with industrial systems or modern electric batteries, you want to ensure that no one is harmed and that there is no risk to the environment.
Leak test units are available for components designed to withstand pressure, for those that operate under pressure, and for those used in atmospheric applications.
Two Key Testing Principles
In Gas Underwater Units, the test object is pressurized with an inert gas, and any potential leaks are visually identified by observing air bubbles rising in the water basin.
In Gas Sensor Units, the test object is filled with a tracer gas, most commonly helium, and highly sensitive sensors precisely detect and locate any gas escaping from the component.
Both methods are particularly effective when the inside of the test object must remain dry.
